Buying gifts for horse lovers is not easy, and although many riders would be delighted with a bottle of expensive horse shampoo it doesn’t always feel like a gift for the person buying it.
So in this article I have collected some ideas of horsey themed gifts that can be used around the house, for those occasional times when your horsey friend is actually inside relaxing.
Drawings or paintings of horses are a great way to carry your love of horses into the home.
Whether it is a more abstract version of these elegant creatures, to match your decor and sense of colour theme such as this amazing print by Mark Ashkenazi.
Or perhaps you prefer a life like photo to hang in in your hallway, or maybe even a sketch for the bathroom.
The following ideas are only some of many that are all available on one of my favourite art curator websites called Society6, which supports real artists to sell their work and promote their art across the globe.
They don’t just sell horse art but many other types as well, but I have obviously selected an equine theme for this post.
The links under the pictures will take you directly to the shown item here, but there are plenty more items for you to browse through once you are on the website.
Of course your art doesn’t need to be hanging from the wall there are plenty of other ways to appreciate artistic design.
How about a horse themed towel, this is both practical and artistic and needn’t be restricted to the house. Plenty of wet shows where a nice drying off on one of these designs would certainly cheer the spirits.
Of course they would also look lovely in the bathroom hang up on the back of the door, ready to start your day!
Society 6 has plenty of other versions of art work ranging from wall clocks, hoodies, pillows to iPhone and computer skins. So the art can be as creative and seen on whatever design or item of decoration that you fancy.
So there really is no excuse now there is something horsey themed for every possible item of decoration in the house, the only question is how many (and possibly how much?).
There is another article here with samples of equine themed mobile phone covers Equine Mobile Phone Covers, these again are both practical and can be used in and out of the yard so definitely a win win on the gift side.
Household Presents With Horses Included
If you prefer your art to be even more practical then what about considering a comfy throw for the couch, that way at least everyone gets to stay warm and snug. At least when you’re inside after a hard day in the yard.
This fleecy throw is actually available on Amazon and you can see some more products available from them in this article What Do You Buy The Mother Who Loves Horses?
Despite the name of the article it is also equally suited to fathers, sons, daughters or anyone else you know of that happens to be into horses.
Along with throws there are also duvet and blanket designs to check out.
Jewellery For The Horse Lover
Finally for some people a gift wouldn’t be a gift unless there was the option to wear it.
So what about some horsey themed jewellery. Such as these lovely horseshoe earrings that are certified nickel free and come ready packaged in their own unique jewellery box.
There are plenty of other jewellery items available as well on Amazon whether it is for adults or children. Simply type in horse jewellery into the search bar once you are on the site and away you go.
Summary And Further Reading
Hopefully I have shown you that there are plenty of opportunities for buying those special horsey gifts, whether you are planning for a special occasion or just want to treat yourself with a special gift.
Both Amazon and Society6 have plenty of other options for gifts and you may also find ideas for people who just appreciate something more arty and unusual. Because as I mentioned earlier it isn’t restricted to just horse items.
